Cardiopulmonary Services
Cardiopulmonary services include inpatient and outpatient treatments and blood gas analysis.
Diagnostic Imaging Services including modalities in:
- Computerized Axial Tomography (CAT Scanner)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Mammography (ACR and FDA Accredited)
- Nuclear Medicine
- Ultrasound
Emergency Service
Emergency Services include a 24-hour emergency department. The hospital and community also are served by Baptist Hospital's Baptist LifeFlight, a helicopter-based transport system for critically ill or injured patients.
GoldenCare
Jay Hospital invites members of the community who are age 50 and older to join GoldenCare. GoldenCare is a free program of special services for seniors. We offer the program to you as a community service part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of your life.
Inpatient Acute Care
A 55-bed medical surgical unit provides care for patients needing treatment for acute illnesses or short-term postoperative care. Patients requiring prolonged recuperation or rehabilitation are possible candidates for long-term care.
Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery
A broad range of surgical procedures are performed in a state-of-the-art surgery unit where both traditional and laparoscopic methods are skillfully used. The surgical suite also includes an endoscopy and post-anesthesia care unit.
Laboratory
The latest technology is used in the laboratory to provide a broad range of diagnostic testing, microbiology and blood bank services.
Outpatient Specialty Clinics and Services
Specialty clinics and services are provided for the convenience of our community and are staffed by physicians from Baptist Hospital. Specialty services include:
- Gastroenterology
- OB/GYN
- Pediatrics
- Speech therapy
Rehabilitation Therapy
The physical therapy department provides inpatient and outpatient treatment including stroke rehabilitation and post-op knee or hip replacement therapy. Treatment for sports injuries and wounds are also provided.

The hospital uses beds not needed for acute medical/surgical to provide extended nursing care. Swing bed patients enjoy the same activities that would be available to any well-run nursing home:
