Baptist Health Care paints diversity with a broad brush. That is, we look for a variety of ideas and talents. We recognize that different backgrounds and viewpoints are key to great leadership and success.

One tangible expression of an organization’s commitment to diversity is endeavoring to create a workforce that is reflective of the communities served. As such, Baptist Health Care seeks to reflect (at all organizational levels) an equivalent representation from the minority and female populations that are available and qualified for each Baptist Health Care organizational level.

Baptist Health Care will compare its workforce composition to an independent and objectively constructed database, approved by the Human Resources Committee of the BHC Board, which reflects the composition of our regional population. Based on this comparison, Baptist Health Care will establish an annual goal for the System. Individual performance plans for those with hiring authority will have a diversity goal related to the purposeful consideration of diversity in the selection/placement of employees.
