Chemotherapy Cancer Support Class

Baptist Cancer Institute is now offering chemotherapy support classes, open to anyone newly diagnosed or about to undergo chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy has been used as a method of treatment for cancer since the 1950s. Although chemotherapy has been proven a successful method to control or suppress cancer cells, it can also cause side affects physically and mentally.

Topics covered in the classes include chemotherapy and how it works, managing side effects, nutrition during treatment, support, resources and your role in your care.

Classes are held every Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Baptist Medical Tower 3, Suite 233 – 1717 North "E" St.
